The 2 oz Elemetal Batavia Silver Round is the second release in the Elemetal Shipwreck Series. Inspired by the Dutch East India Company ship Batavia, this round recognizes a wreck remembered as one of the darkest survival stories in maritime history.

Struck by Elemetal Mint in Ultra High Relief, the obverse features William of Orange, inspired by Dutch coinage from the age of overseas trade. The design includes a weathered texture meant to recall coins and artifacts recovered from shipwreck sites.

The shared reverse features the Shipwreck Series insignia with D, 2, OZ, AG, and 999, representing Dallas, 2 Troy Ounces, silver, and .999 fine silver purity.

Batavia wrecked on its maiden voyage off Western Australia. After the ship broke apart, many survivors reached shore, where mutiny and violence followed. The release is positioned as The World’s Bloodiest Shipwreck.
